Kruger Tours & Transfers

We are a Kruger National Park and Olifants River wildlife safaris operator based in Phalaborwa, the only town in South Africa bordering the Kruger Park. 

Kruger Tours provides day tours and transfers in and around the Kruger, South Africa's finest National Park in addition to exciting  boat cruises in the Olifants River near Phalaborwa.

The Company has been  founded in 2003 and it is currently managed by Lincon Shabangu, himself a wildlife specialist tour guide and skipper. 

Kruger Safari Packages

A Kruger Safari Package normally includes an Olifants River cruise plus a combination of day excursions in the Kruger Park and photographic safaris in an open 4x4 vehicle inside a Private Game Reserve in the vicinity of the Kruger National Park, such Edeni/Karongwe or Kapama Nature Reserve.

The two experiences are complementing each other, combining the majesty of the Kruger Park with the excitement of open vehicles off roads photographic safaris.

Our guests are normally accommodated in some elegant Guest Lodge in Phalaborwa or at the exclusive Hans Merensky Hotel & Golf Estate, also in Phalaborwa. Occasionally we make use of the Kruger Park Lodge in Hazyview.

Inside Edeni/Karongwe Private game Reserve our guests are normally accommodated at Chisomo Safari Camp, Shiduli Lodge or Kuname River Lodge.

Olifants River Cruise

Three hours of close encounters with crocodile, hippo, elephant and other interesting animals on the Olifants River along Klaserie Game Reserve. Our Olifants River cruise make use of a large and well mantained 2 deck river boat conducted by an experience skipper. Refreshements are available on board.

Day Tours and Transfers

Kruger Tours provides full day or half day tours to the Kruger National Park and Letaba Ranch, a beautiful afternoon cruise on the Olifants river and sedan/minibus transfers between Johannesburg, Phalaborwa and the Private Nature Reserves in the area, like Edeni / Karongwe or Kapama.

Because of its strategic location, Phalaborwa is used by international visitors as a convenient base camp for wildlife, photographic, golfing and hunting safaris.

Golf at the Hans Merensky

The 18 holes Bob Grimsdell designed par 72 Championship Golf Course of the Hans Merensky Hotel & Golf Estate has been voted the best walking course in South Africa. It is not unusual for golfers in Phalaborwa to share the green with giraffe, hippo, warthog, impala and other resident animals.
